He was predeceased by: his mother Maria Rita Cortez. He is survived by: his father Jesus Cortez; his siblings, Fernando Cortez, Fermin Cortez, Miriam Perez (Scott O'brien) and Veronica Davis (Demetrius); his grandson Charlie; and his stepdaughter Shannell Barbosa.
