It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilberto Xavier Ramos of Pharr, Texas, who passed away on December 29, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sisters, Maria Alicia Cantu and Maria Guadalupe Palacios. He is survived by: his wife Alicia G. Ramos of Pharr; his children, Alma I. Lane (Gerald) of Austin, Patricia A. Garza of Alamo, Melinda A. Dill of Katy and Ricardo Ramos (Linda) of McAllen; his siblings, Ruben and Rosa; and his brother-in-law Polo Palacios of Pharr. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
