He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Eva Solis; his son Alfredo Solis Jr.; his siblings, Louisa Basaldua, Eliza Garcia and Idelfonzo Solis; and his parents, Elmira Garza Solis and Idelfonzo Solis.

He is survived by: his children, Alicia Solis, Aurora Solis, Adelita, Alfonso Solis of Pharr and Alberto Solis of Nampa, Idaho; and his sisters, Marina S. Vela, Esperanza De La Rosa of Pharr and Maria Anita Rios of Edinburg.
