He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Gerard Shaw and Martha Shaw; and his wife Claudette Dixon. He is survived by: his son Brent (Tracy); his grandchildren, Lindsey Birch (Joel) of Pecos and Bradley (Jayde) of Lubbock, Texas.; his brother Kenneth Shaw (Wilma) of Campo; and his nephews, Norman and Steve Shaw.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials to be made to the West of the Pecos Museum.
