He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Gartman and Gladys Lucile Gartman; his sisters, Betty Joe Kirkland and Bessie Marie "Sissy" Marchand; his son Raymond Alan Gartman; and his grandson Tyler Wayne Gartman.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Gartman of Moorehead City; his sons, Lewis Edward Gartman and Jeffery Ray Gartman of Pasadena, Texas; and his grandsons, Kyle Andrew Gartman and Zackery Ray Gartman of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by other cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
