He was predeceased by: his former wife Dorothy Parsons; his sister Frances Parsons; and his grandson Jeremy Parsons. He is survived by: his sister Jean Gianaris; his nieces and nephews, Kayla Gianaris and J. Rusk Gianaris; his sons, James T. Parsons Jr. (Norma Parsons), Walter Parsons (Beverly Parsons) and Joseph Parsons (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Michael Parsons, Robert Parsons, Frank Flores, Mark Flores, Ella Parsons, David Parsons (Frankie), Danny Parsons and Elizabeth Garza (Gilbert); and his great grandchildren, James Daniel Parsons (Makenzye Parsons), Jaden Parsons, Lizzy Parsons, Madison Parsons, Lilliana Garza and Gavin Garza.
