She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Fauley and Nellie Fauley; her husband Lawrence Petty; and her son Donald Petty. She is survived by: her son Brian Petty; and her nieces and nephews, Douglas Fauley, Jeffery Fauley, Jody Fauley, Kevin Fauley, Joel Petty, Jay Petty, Brenda Boykin, Judy Frye, Pamela Petty and Melissa Smith.
