He was predeceased by: his parents, George Williams and Mabel Williams; his wife Liliana Cianchetti Williams; and his sisters, Ina Jo Parker and Sybil Wienel.

He is survived by: his children, Robert George Williams (Elizabeth) and Leslie Williams Melton; his brother Dr. John Williams (Shirley); his grandchildren, Robert Preston Williams (Lauren), Brittany Troy Cole (Adam), Harmon Delo Melton and Zachary Richard Melton (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Bennett Cole and Kate Williams.
