She was predeceased by: her parents, John E. Stephenson, Sr. and Martha Roberta Peet; her husbands, Carroll L. Manning and Stanley Vandenberg; her son David Allan Ray; her stepson Stanley "Van" Vandenberg; her siblings, John E. Stephenson, Jr., Boyce K. Stephenson, Chester R. Stephenson and Verna Dougharty; and her stepsiblings, Guy Couthran, Joann Dean, Bill Couthran, Ronald Couthran and Donald Couthran.
She is survived by: her children, John Robert Ray (Shelia), Lynda Ray Smith (Troy) and Cheryl Dean Manning. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; as well as other loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Claybar Funeral Home (504 5th St, Orange, TX 77630, USA). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
