He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Eugene Nixon and Mary Joy Ryans Nixon; his wife Lancey "Pill" Peet Nixon; and his sister Linda Nixon. He is survived by: his daughter Ava Nixon (Clayton Kilgore); his grandsons, Mosiah Kilgore and Tallarico "Tyler" Kilgore; his sisters, Mary Jane (Morris Sanders), Brenda (Herb Stanley) and Sandra Whitten; his niece Ginger Hogden (Cody); and his close friend Jose Dominguez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dorman Funeral Home (8808 TX-87, Orange, TX 77632). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Bland Cemetery.
