With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joel Edward Steirman of Orange, Texas, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on March 30, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ken Lewitter and Ruth Lewitter. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Ellen Alderman (Patrick) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Patrick Steirman (Holly) of Willis and Samuel Steirman of Lincoln, Nebraska; his siblings, Barry Steirman (Jackie) of Penngrove and Susan Glaser (Louis Glaser) of The Villages, Florida; his grandchildren, Rachel, Megan Steirman of Orangville, Ontario, Oliver Alderman of Baton Rouge, Abigail and Tyler Steirman of Willis; his sisters-in-law, Rosemary and Ellen Brennicke; and his great-niece Katie Brennicke of Seattle. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Temple Sinai in Lake Charles, Louisiana or Orange Christian Services.
