He was predeceased by: his parents, Van Writer and Josephine Writer (VanNess). He is survived by: his wife Cynthia; his sons, Michael, Brian and Tim (Leilani); his grandchildren, Mari Chris, Jeffrey, Cooper, Parker, George, Laura and Vera Writer; and his brothers, Robert Writer (Rita) and Dean Writer (Janet). He is also survived by sister-in-law, Toni Allen Test, several nieces, nephews, and grand nephews and three cousins.
