It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane Ellis Spragens in New Braunfels, Texas, born in Harrison, Arkansas, who passed away on February 28, 2024, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Paul Ellis and Helen Keithley Ellis; her husband John Brewer Spragens, Sr.; and her son John Brewer Spragens, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Springer, Paul Spragens, Tim Spragens and Becky Magness; her grandchildren, Daniel Spragens, Kim Gaddy and Brian Magness; and her great grandchildren, Matt Gaddy and Becca Gaddy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the University Presbyterian Church, Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Texas Women's University in Denton, or KMFA radio in Austin.
