He was predeceased by: his parents, Patricio Lopez Hernandez and Hortensia Burto Hernandez; and his son Joe Louis Sanchez (Joey). He is survived by: his daughters, Marina Alyssa Mendez (Fernando), Dawn Marie Mayorga and Nioami Ybarra (Javier); his sisters, Gloria Alanis (Arnulfo), Jean Hernandez (Erin) and Leticia Hernandez; and his great grandchildren, Zylis, Jonavan, Jermiah, Zalayah, Thelonious, Diana and Ziven. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in his name.
