She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Nicholas Schunior and Clothilde Cantu Schunior; and her siblings, Hector Schunior, Robert Nicholas "Bobby" Schunior and Clothilde "Tillie" Schunior.
She is survived by: her spouse Gene Sowell; her children, Nita Huguley (Tony), Debra Sowell Harris, David Mark Sowell and Eric Heath Sowell; her sisters, Cynthia Schunior, Sylvia Kirkland and Ada Mazariegos (Charles); her grandchildren, Maya, Catherine, Cassandra, Jacob, Rebekah, Rachel and Ethan; and her great grandchildren, Aeralyn, Orin, Ian, Preston, Allyse, Caleb, Camille, Casen and Colette. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
