With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gay R. Evans of Nacogdoches, Texas, born in Center, Texas, who passed away on March 5, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Georgia Holcomb; her stepfather Charlie Holcomb; her father Billy Richards; her sons, Burl Evans Jr. and Garry Evans; and her grandchild Breleigh Ratliff.

She is survived by: her husband Burl Evans Sr.; her brother Billy Richards; her children, Toby Brittain (Seranda Brittain), Kevin Brittain (Sobe Brittain), Jefferson Evans (Mary Evans), Becky "Ali" Canyon, Larry Evans (Jennifer Evans) and Debra Dietz (Ron Dietz); and her grandchildren, Lauren McComber, Alden Brittain, Mason Brittain, Chandler Brittain, Destin Brittain, Kolten Brittain, Erika Herrera, Jefferson Evans Jr., Jana Childers, Jessica Ingham, Rushton Graves, Ashton Graves, Megan Evans Tiscareno, MacKenzie Evans, Delaney Evans Valdez, Laremy Evans and Emilie Dietz.
