He was predeceased by: his parents, Haskell "Dutch" Murray and Hazel Ethel Hensarling Murray; his sister Betty Fults; and his brothers-in-law, William Boyd Gartman, Wayne Wisner and Hilton Briley.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his son Brad Arriola (Jennifer); his siblings, Noreita Gartman, Sue Wisener, Hershell Murray (Barbara) and Gary Murray (Kathy); his siblings-in-law, Kathy Dement (Ronnie), Debra Cummings, Merry Christian (Burton) and Randy Nelson (Linda); and his godchildren, Derek Briley and Lacey Chandler.
