She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Nordgren and Maureen Patterson Nordgren; her husband Larry Legate; her son Chris Starnes; and her siblings, Larry Nordgren, Tom Nordgren, Michael Nordgren and Maureen Varrato.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Thompson (Jason) of Hillsborough and Brian Starnes (Carrie) of Winter Springs, Florida; and her sister Claire Miller (Phil) of Wheelersburg, Ohio..
In lieu of flowers family has asked for donations to be made to St. Jude Hospital.
