He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Raymond Brand and Rose Lily Brand (Short) of Goodland, Missouri.; his siblings, Marie Asher and Robert Brand; and his sons-in-law, Edwin Feeny and Don Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara White of McKinney, Texas; and his daughters, Catherine Rutledge (Kevin) of Carrollton, Texas, Sherry Brand-Owens of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Cynthia Feeny of McKinney and Carla Parmenter (Michael) of Centennial, Colorado. He is also survived by five granddaughters; one grandson; and nine great-grandchildren.
