He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Dee (Luke) and Zada Ray Simon; his siblings, Claude Simon and Bonnie Simon Evans; and his grandson Dawson Reed Waite.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Simon; his daughters, Shawna Baggett (Larry) of Burnet and Kimberly Hendley (Tim) of Brady; and his grandchildren, Korey Kunc (Ayla), Hunter Kunc (Kelsie Hollander), Brayden Waite, Jatelyn Waite, Daniel McAnally, Talisha Hendley, Jacob McAnally (Jennifer), Katy Ulmer (Hunter), Sammy Winters (Carly), Kelsie Downes (Tanner), Kenzie Farris (Leann), Jayde Baggett, Lexi Baggett and Nichole Henry. He is also survived by his kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
