We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2018, at the age of 74, Evie Matthys (Marshall, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Donald Rodney Matthys, Sr. and Gerd Zell; her parent Bill Moore; her sons, Rodney Glen Matthys and Donald Matthys, Jr.; and her siblings, Billy Moore, Ruby Layton and Joyce Watkins.
She is survived by: her parent Atrell Smith; her children, Jason Matthys, Cindy George and Jan Carter (Randall); her sisters, Kathy Surratt (Jerry) and Evelyn Escud (Claude); her grandchildren, Nick DeRosier, Heather Carter and Randy Carter; and her great grandchildren, Katie DeRosier, Amber DeRosier, Damian DeRosier, MaKenzie Carter and Kinsler Carter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marshall Hospice in her memory.
