Mabel Marie Powers Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mabel Marie Powers (Lufkin, Texas), who passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Nivens and Estelle Nivens; and her husband John Powers. She is survived by: her children, Lufkin, Irving, Tyler, Natalie Vike of Mesquite, Rose Anne Ellison (David) of Plano, Johnnica Edgerley (Darrell) of Farmers Branch, Gary Powers (Mary) of New Caney and Belinda Stanley (David) of Bedford; her sister Nancy Vernon of Brenham, TX; and her siblings-in-law, Red, Dorren Powers and Bill Livingston. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and their spouses, twenty-four great-grandchildren, four great- great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Emg Chapel at Garden of Memories (1515 S Chestnut St, Lufkin, TX 75901).
