She was predeceased by: her parents, Agnes Artie (Chisum) and Thomas Roden Rains, Sr.; and her siblings, Vernell Merritt, Linda Duke, T. R. Rains and Jimmy Rains.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Seekings of Huntington, Erin (Keith Corley) and Laille (Stacy Hightower); her grandchildren, Edward Seekings, Jr. (Renissa), Trey Johnson (Alicia Seekings), Blake (Brandy Cornelius), Ashlyn Athey (Joshua), Katie LeBlanc (Zak) and Britani LeBlanc (Brion Green); her great grandchildren, Greyson, Piper, Zaine, Brinn LeBlanc, Blakelei, Barrett Cornelius, Bella, Gabby Johnson and Beckham Athey; her sister Elizabeth A. Henry of Lufkin; her cousin Connie Allen; and the father of her children Jack Seekings of Diboll. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
