He was predeceased by: his parents, David R. Benavides, Sr. and Josephine C. Benavides. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Ann Lopez; his son David III; his brother-in-law Mark; his grandchildren, Audrey, Niko, Vaneza, Savannah, Marlow, Lila, Rowyn, Quinn, Liam and Tori; his children, Laurie, Brian and Natalie; and his brother Robert. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and his ten grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
