He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Smith and Henrietta Smith (Jennings); his siblings, Cynthia Smith DeBlieux, Agnes "Tiny" Hastings, William "Bud" Smith and Edward "Jack" Smith; his children, Keith Smith and Deborah Smith Kincaid; and his grandson William Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Lola Smith (Smithwick); his daughter Donna Smith Polledo; his daughter-in-law Mary Smith; and his grandchildren, Daniel Black, Morgan Smith and Emily Smith. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
