He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Burney; and his siblings, Billy "Bud" Burney, Jerry Dale Burney, Bobbie Hillier and Joy Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Dusty Burney of Andrews, Truett Burney (Dawn) of Greenville, William Burney of Lone Oak, Robert Burney (Melisa) of Greenville, Cindy Burney (Jeff Usavage) of Sarasota and Robin Eldridge (Steve) of Lone Oak; his brother Mike Burney of Waco; his grandchildren, Kassey, Cody, Audrey, Josie, Jackson, Jaden, Makaila, Makenna, Makenzie, Collin, Kimberly, Trenton, Kaitlyn and John; his great grandchildren, Maelyn, Judsen, Paizlee, Murphie and Petie; and his child Welborn St.
