She was predeceased by: her parent John Lockhart. She is survived by: her parent Izella Richardson; her husband Farlyn "Pop" Bowen Sr. of Llano; and her sons, Farlyn (Annette Bowen), Monroe (Joyce Bowen) and David Bowen of Llano. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations in honor of Hospice for their genuine and loving care for Ethel.
