He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dewey Nelson and Ruby Mae Nelson (Templeton); and his siblings, Sam Nelson, Gene Nelson, Autry Nelson and Alice Baxley.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Marie Nelson of Livingston, Texas; his children, Lisa Leggett (Melvin) of Goodrich, Texas, William "Bubba" Nelson Jr. (Kelly) of Goodrich, Texas and Teresa Munson (Gerald) of Livingston, Texas; his sister Margaret Phillips (David) of Livingston, Texas; his grandchildren, Timothy Leggett, Coby, Amy Leggett, Jered, Sarah Munson, Joshua, Katie Munson, Ryan, Jordy Nelson, Ashley and Shawn Card; and his great grandchildren, Lauren Leggett, Grayson Leggett, Dixie Munson, Taylynn Munson, Landon Leggett, Sawyer Munson, Hoss Card, Karlie Card, Everly Nelson and Jacob Leggett. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
