He was predeceased by: his parents, Vicente Govea Pereira and Maria (Carmen Govea Govea); his son Joshue Briones; and his siblings, Maria Govea, Evaristo Govea, Federico Govea, Gabriel Govea, Jose Luis Govea, Galdino Golvea, Alfredo Govea and Leonor Govea.
He is survived by: his wife Veronica Carrizales of Livingston, Texas; his sons, Mark Anthony Carrizales, Luis Alejandro Briones and Alexavier Galvan; and his siblings, Benjamin Govea, Marcelina Govea, Lodegavio Govea, Celestino Govea, Roberto Govea, Gloria Govea, Alicia Govea and Martha Govea. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
