It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James David Coogler Jr. (Livingston, Texas), who passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Coogler, Sr. and Esther Harrison Coogler; his former wife Esther; his sister Elaine Coogler Smith; his sons, James Parker Coogler and Lloyd Bruce Coogler; and his siblings-in-law, Sidney K. Smith and Vicki R. Coogler.
He is survived by: his wife Delia Parker; his son Keith L. Coogler; his daughter-in-law Jana Coogler; his brother Allen R. Coogler; his grandchildren, Amanda Lee Coogler (Tim Flowers), Chelsea Marie Coogler (Colin Adams), Madeline Coogler Mooney (Jonathan), Blake Andrew Coogler (Candise), Heidi Coogler VanGansbeke (Brett), Shelley Coogler Moe and Sylvia Coogler Girard (Cory); and his great grandchildren, Davis, Logan, Ivan, Whitten, Wesley, Stella, Harrison, Wyatt and Evie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Blanchard Baptist Church, the Polk County Memorial Museum, or any foundation of your choice.
