He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeff Eddie Farris and Jane Catherine Farris (Walton); his wife Peggy Farris; and his siblings, Jim Farris, Mark Farris, Billy Farris and Martha White.

He is survived by: his children, Jim Moss (Carol), David Dumas (Kathey), Jackie Neal (Donald), Diane Williams (Tommy) and Danese Stokes (Johnnie); and his brother Edwin Farris. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
