He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thurman and Trudie Pearl Turnipseed (Huckaby); and his siblings, Gene, Billy, Ralph, Charles Turnipseed and Mildred Dilworth.
He is survived by: his wife Melnee Turnipseed of Lindale; his children, Cathy Lynn DeRousse (Paul) of Marshall and Jerry Ann Austin (Ed) of Lindale; his grandchildren, Jonathan DeRousse, David DeRousse, Timothy DeRousse, D. J. Austin, Josh Austin (Sara) and James Austin (Christina); and his great grandchildren, Neil, Abby, Mattie Vandiver, Grace Vandiver DeRousse and Pearl Austin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
As a COVID-19 precaution, masks are required at all visitations and services.
