He was predeceased by: his foster parents, Evie Burnett and John L. Burnett; his siblings, Johnny Howsley and Patricia Roberts; his foster brother Marvin Burnett; and his daughter Dawn Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Lewis; his children, Michelle Gafford (Paul), James Michael Lewis, Stephen Lewis (Kristie), Donny Lewis (Kristina) and Sharee Ramaekers (Dustin); and his foster siblings, Roland Burnett (Alice), Jerry Burnett (Joyce) and Anita Mandrell (DeVern). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Jim preferred donations to be made to Children's Home of Lubbock, 4404 Idalou Road, Lubbock, Texas 79403.
