He was predeceased by: his parents, W. A. Jackson and Jimmie Lee Jackson; his wife Myrle; his daughter Marian; and his brothers, Dean, J. W. (Bill), Fred, Chester and Bill McGee.

He is survived by: his daughter Margie; his son-in-law Larry Shelton; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Jackson and Pat McGee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
