It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin Harrison Smith (Leonard, Texas), born in Celeste, Texas, who passed away on June 21, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Lawton Smith, Sr. and Comora Sims Smith; and his siblings, Clara Jean and Thomas Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carrie Smith of Merit, Texas; his children, Romona Steenborg (Gus) of Merit, Texas, Tim Smith (Lisa Steelsmith) of Louisville, Kentucky and Chris Smith of Cox's Creek, Kentucky; his grandsons, Jacob Steenborg (Kathryn) of Cataula, GA and Jonathan Steenborg of Columbus, GA; and his siblings, Claudine Anderson, Curtis Lawton Smith and David Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
