He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Vaughn and Evelyn Vaughn (Stettler); and his brothers, David Vaughn and Hugh Vaughn. He is survived by: his former wife Sophie Chewcaskie; his wife Jennifer; his children, Colleen Barker, Steven Vaughn (Rhonda) and Derek Vaughn (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Joshua Stough, Erika Irwin (Luke), Maizy Vaughn and Ava Vaughn; and his great grandchild Eisley Irwin.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Samaritan's Purse.
