He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Stevens and Dorothy Stevens; and his daughter Stacy Jean Stevens. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Stevens of Krum; his sons, James Edward Stevens, Jr. (Cristina) of Cypress and Christian James Stevens of Krum; his brother Brian Stevens of Waxahachie; and his grandchildren, Damian, Elias and Lucian.
