He was predeceased by: his wife Katie Kimbrell Burleson; and his granddaughters, Allison and Natalie Dent. He is survived by: his daughters, Tammy Walker (Curtis) of Santa Fe, Lori Hall of Kilgore, Kathryn Burnett of Lutz and Lisa Burleson Sieber (Tommy) of Kilgore; and his grandchildren, Carrie Burleson, Tracey Gomez, Christopher Gaytan, Kyle Walker, Todd Walker, David Correia, Jesse Correia, Jason Dent, Michelle Dent, Stephen Burnett, Jacob Burnett, Kyra Burnett and Tessa Burnett. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
