He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Villarreal and Amelia Villarreal; his wife Katherina Cortez; his daughter Christine King; and his grandson Zachary Richmond.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Cortez (Joyce) and Diane Richmond (Mark); his grandchildren, Destiney Sharman (Corey) and Paden King; and his great grandchildren, Brody and Wyatt Sharman. He is also survived by five brothers and one sister.
