He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Retter; and his brother Floyd Retter. He is survived by: his daughters, Tamara Swenson (Jesse) and Kristy Buckingham (Clark); his stepdaughter Shelly Gossett; his sisters, Joan Beck (Larry), Jeannie Retter and Pam Cheville (Freddie); and also, Glenn Retter (Shirley), Donny Retter and Ronny Retter (Mary). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
