He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence VandenBos and Johanna VandenBos (Streelman); and his sister Sharon VandenBos. He is survived by: his wife Loretta May Matheny; his children, Kelly Luna (Michael), Cory VandenBos and Melanie Willis (Shane); his brothers, Dallas VandenBos and Earl VandenBos; and his grandchildren, Madison, Cole, Hayden and Logan Willis.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to the American Fellowship of Cowboy Churches (AFCC) Cowboy Camp for Youth.
