He is survived by: his grandchildren, Christy Drake, Lacey Matamoros and Samantha Polege; his siblings, Reece Brooks, Mary Lou, Bobby Brooks, Yvonne Pryor, Ruby Blanchett and Bill; and his sister-in-law Velma West Brooks. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
