He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Patrick, Ruth O'Dowdy and Bill. He is survived by: his parents, Billie O'Dowdy and Danny O'Dowdy; his grandmother Jane "Granny" Webb; his wife Sherrie; his children, Benjamin, Kye and Liam of Katy, Texas; his siblings, Julie O'Dowdy Kirk, Leanne O'Dowdy Dodd, Laramie Edwards and Quinn Wilson; and his cousin Patrick. He is also survived by two aunts, and cousins.

Trubal was an advocate for a cure for Alzheimer's and walked every year to raise awareness and funds for research.
