He was predeceased by: his parents, Miguel Valverde and Guadalupe Valverde; his siblings, Mike, Oscar, Joe, James, Ernest, Alfred and Rebecca Hernandez; and his son-in-law Edward P. Morrow.
He is survived by: his pet Holly; his wife Irene Valverde; his siblings, Gilbert (Sokie), Richard (Carol), Edward (Santos) and Helen Garcia; his sister-in-law Josephine Canales (Ignacio); his daughters, Valerie Santos (John), Miriam Denton (Richard "Rick"), Myrna Sobernheim (David) and Roberta R. Morrow; his grandchildren, Jonathan (Jensy), Adam (Jessica), Miranda (Henry), Austin, Kristyn (Ryan), Ashleigh, Taylor, Dylan, Leah, Mary, David and Lili; and his great grandchildren, Ella, Lina, Belle, Penelope, Addie, Amy Lou, Hannah, Andrew, Jacob, Grant, Joseph and Aleia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
