He is survived by: his parents, Paul Frederic and Alice Pearl Remmele (Chilcott); his daughter Elise Bortka of Katy; his son-in-law Lynn Bortka of Katy; his daughter Stacie Wells of Overland Park; his son-in-law Scott Wells of Overland Park; his son Paul Remmele of Katy; his grandchildren, Adam (Erin), Nicholas (Shana), Juliana Bortka Piche (Justin), Braden Bortka (Rebecca), Lauren, Tyler (Megan) and Caroline Wells; his great grandchildren, Isaac Bortka and Charles Bortka; his sister-in-law Mary Lou Kiene; his wife Janice; his sister-in-law Jack Remmele; his sister Carolyn Blair; his brothers-in-law, Merle Blair and Bill Kiene; and also Jeannie Remmele.
