He was predeceased by: his parents, Sharon Merry and Tom Gordon; his sister Missy; and his grandparents, John, Mary Gordon, Norma and Jess Merry.
He is survived by: his wife Ambi; his children, Jeremiah (Bailey Taylor) and Alyssa; his granddaughter Chloe; his brother Jason Gordon (Lisa) of Rockport, Texas; and his nieces and nephews, Kerstin, Madison, Marley, Tanner and Todd Fry (Jeri) of Midlothian.
In lieu of flower arrangements, the family requests that donations be made in Jay's honor to the American Kidney Fund or the National Kidney Foundation.
