With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cynthia Koontz of Jefferson, Texas, born in Atlanta, Texas, who passed away on November 10, 2021 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Samuel Koontz (Sam); her parents, Scott Quada and Dorothy Quada; and her parents-in-law, Ray and Juanita Parker.

She is survived by: her children, Phillip Andrew and Priscilla Ashley Koontz; her friends, Dorothy Quada, Teresa Barnhill and Melba Oney; her aunt Faye Campbell; her children, Ashley Cunningham (Jordan) of Mansfield and Andrew Koontz (Shearine) of Columbia; her grandchildren, Ian, Ava, Kai Cunningham of Mansfield and Liam Koontz of Columbia; her siblings, Don Quada of Jefferson, Cheryl Quada of Longview and Sheila Bayles of Longview; her niece Emily Bayles; her nephew Benjamin Bayles of Longview; and also Rev. A. David Story. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
