She was predeceased by: her parents, William G. Childers and Tera Childers; her husband Robert Eugene Yeates; and her siblings, William G. Childers Jr. (Bill), Lamar Childers and Betty Campbell.
She is survived by: her sons, Ken Yeates (T. J.) of Jasper, Texas and Robert Yeates (Karen) of Jasper, Texas; her sister-in-law Geraldine Brown of Putnam, Connecticut; and her grandchildren, Brooks Yeates (Meagan), Keaton Yeates (Abby), Jessica Al-Khalifah (Yousef), Devin Yeates (Ashley), Ashley Beddingfield (Damon) and Amber Bizzell. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
