She was predeceased by: her father Charles James; her niece Brandie James Turner; and her grandparents, Osburn, Nell Weaver, Nelva Bell James, Charles B James, Sam, Lela James, Melvinie Smith Bell, Walter Bell, Minnie Lou Kirkendoll Richardson and Thomas Richard Richardson.
She is survived by: her mother Iris Jean Miller of Jasper, Texas; her husband David Gilchriest of Jasper, Texas; her children, Matthew White (Marci) of Hemphill, Texas, Nicole and Randi Hamilton (Randy) of Conroe, Texas; her sisters, Betty Morton (Willie) and Sandy James; her stepsons, Nick Gilchriest (Lisa) of Port Neches and Heath Gilchriest (Myah) of Kirbyville, Texas; and her grandchildren, Tuff White, Matti White, Rylee (Trent), Ven Broadus, Austin Gilchriest, Kallie Gilchriest, Cadence Gilchriest, Harper Gilchriest and Sawyer Gilchriest.
