It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alyssa Retherford in Jasper, Texas, born in Lufkin, Texas, who passed away on May 29, 2021, at the age of 17, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her father Shorty Retherford; her brothers, Zachary Retherford of Bronson and Caden "Boogie" Sowell of Black Ankle, Texas; her stepbrothers, Calob Chisenhall Rhame and Jake Rhame; her great-grandparent Lena Mae Moore of Bronson; her grandparents, Charles Wayne Dickerson of Bronson, Vicki Moore, Marty Forse of Black Ankle, Jimmy, Betty Rhame of Center and Margie Marshburn of Bronson; her aunts and uncles, Brooke Dickerson of Bronson, Joanna Moody (Malcom), Joyce Brown of Winnie, Cindy Dorn (Rodney), Wesley Rhame (Savanah) of Center, Jack Retherford (Kim) of Zavalla, James Retherford and Joe Retherford of Bronson; and her close friends, Kimberly Eddings, Courtney Retherford, Amy Raymond, Morgan Allen, Jaylen, Nick Allen, Jordan Allen, Michael Clark, Daniel Clark, Dillon Clark, Bryan Clark, Ashton Clark, Jasper Clark, Kattie, Cody, Colton, Eli, Corbin and Aiden.
